Vermont South Special School provides for the educational, social and emotional needs of students with an intellectual disability who are aged between 5 and 12 years old. Our vision is to empower students to reach their personal best through providing students with the best possible foundation in life through a well-rounded education. Our objective is to stimulate students to learn in a vibrant, nurturing, educational environment which provides for individual needs. We value learning, respect, responsibility and resilience.
The Department of Education provides free bus transport to all students who live within the designated transport zone (this covers areas of Manningham, Nillumbik, Maroondah, Whitehorse, Know, Monash and Yarra Ranges).
