Mt Alexander College

Mount Alexander College in the inner city services the growing population of Flemington, and surrounding areas. One size does not fit all, and neither should education. We empower students in their learning through vertical classes and subject choice. We believe in developing creativity, critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently. Our vertical curriculum enables greater subject choice no matter the year level, which in turn develops a deeper love of learning in students. Students select subjects from over 150 choices allowing them to follow their passions, while covering key learning areas. Our school is calm; when students are in classes of their choice, the classroom climate improves.

We believe student choice and voice is important in empowering students to learn. Our school motto, empowering students, and values Community, Engagement, Excellence, Integrity and Respect reflect the motivation that drives our teaching and culture.
